FURY - 2014 - Directed by David Ayer
3D digital concept art for Brad Pitt's Super 8 Sherman tank (named Fury in the film) plus different models of background Sherman tanks.
THE DEVIL'S ROCK - 2011 - Directed by Paul Campion
Designed, built and textured the digital artillery gun for use in several visual effects shots.
Image from the promotional film trailers, showing the real dressed tank from my concept work
Fury fully loaded. David Ayer the director wanted an open box of tinned rations on the front. My design is historically correct, including the serial numbers on everything down to the ammunition boxes
Fury concept with extra mud. The baggage at the back on the sides was positioned to help film's special effects department place explosive charges to show the tank being hit by anti-tank weapons.
Clean version of Fury, showing the aircraft identification markers and rear stowage at the back.
Davis M4A4 Sherman Loaded with supplies and logs used to gain traction when stuck in mud.
Parker Super 8 Sherman, there were two Super Eight Sherman's as they needed a spare in case Fury broke down!
Peterson M4A1 cast hull, I had to make sure each tank was correct down to the types of tank treads to match the real one that was being dresses for the film.
Binkowski- M4A4 Sherman with American Star painted out, the Germans were using them as a target spot!
The Devils Rock, Directed by Paul Campion
Entire model as supplied to the Devils Rock Production Team
Front view of the WW1artillery piece, I modeled it to give highlights in order to give shape in the half light
The 3D model was used by the production company for the final shots
Care was given to give the correct camouflage and stressing of the WW1 era artillery piece
